Hello again my lovelies!
This will be my final blog post as Miss Teen North Calgary 2016. Oh, where did the year go! It seems like just yesterday that I was walking across the stage of Miss Teenage Canada. In the short span of a week, I came back with a Top 20 placement, Miss Teen Talent, a full scholarship to Top Model Search Canada 2017, 54 new best friends, and some amazing memories.
I am very proud to say that I raised over 1000$ for Free The Children and Fort McMurray wildfire relief over the course of my reign. Thank you to everyone who contributed as little as a dollar to help me reach that goal, i truly appreciate it. It has been a pleasure for me to be able to contribute to these causes, and I hope to do more work like this in the future.
There are so many other wonderful things I experienced this year as a titleholder, I don’t even think I could put them all into words. So here are a few pictures from my favourite ones!
On March 11-12 I will be going back to the Alberta provincial pageant to meet a new round of delegates, some of which will have the pleasure of competing in Miss Teenage Canada! A message to all future titleholders: Be strong, confident, embrace your flaws, and believe in yourself. As a titleholder, you can reach out to people on a higher platform. Use it! Raise awareness, make your issues known, create the change to see in the world. There will be times where you will feel down and exhausted, but difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations. I am always open to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have, through direct message on Instagram. My handle is @rachelbutler1. 🙂
So what’s next? Right now I am focusing on school and sports, but am also exploring the world of modelling! It has been great fun and an incredible experience so far, and am eager to see where it takes me!
I would like to close off by saying thank you. Thank you to my family, friends, sponsors, supporters, Michelle, Christi, and the rest of the MTC-W crew. Without them, none of this would have ever been possible. Thank you all for your continuous support. 💕
Bye for now,
